1979 COLT PYTHON, 6-shot, .357 Magnum revolver with a 4″ barrel and a gorgeous original Colt “Royal Blue” finish. Colt first introduced the iconic Python in 1955, and it quickly became the most popular of all of Colt’s “Snake Guns”. Many collectors and firearms historians consider the Colt Python to be the finest handgun ever produced, and its popularity has eclipsed all competitors. The original Pythons, with their hand fitted assembly and exhaustive hand-finishing can never be duplicated, and the recent introduction of inferior machine-made copies has only pushed the value of the original Pythons higher. This particular gun is in beautiful condition, easily rating at 98-99%. The hand-polished Royal Blue finish on this firearm is spectacular- showing very little evidence of handling or firing.  The original factory walnut target grips are absolutely pristine, with sharp checkering throughout. Finding an original Colt Python in this high condition has become very difficult, especially with their original boxes and paperwork.
