1995 BERETTA 92 FS “AMERICA’S DEFENDER FIRST DECADE “ 9mm Semi-Automatic pistol, NEW & UNFIRED in the box. The Beretta 92FS America’s Defender is a special Commemorative model released in 1995 to celebrate 10 years of service to America’s Armed Forces. The M9 is a short recoil, semi-automatic, single-action/double-action pistol with a reversible magazine release button that can be positioned for either right- or left-handed shooters. Each M9 has a hard-chromed barrel bore to protect it from corrosion and to reduce wear. A firing pin block prevents the firing pin from moving without the trigger being pulled and a firing pin striker rotates when the safety lever is engaged preventing the firing pin from being hit even if the hammer falls. The First Decade America’s Defender variant of the M9 was made in 1995 in Accokeek, Maryland. It features a polished slide with “THE FIRST DECADE 1985–1995” engraved in gold fill on one side of the slide, and ”AMERICA’S DEFENDER” on the opposite side, each framed by the insignias of the four Military branches-Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines.  This particular example is in new and unfired condition. There are only the lightest of handling marks- but this collectable beauty has never seen a 9mm round. It is unfired since the factory. This weapon comes to us from one of our favorite collectors, and is complete with all factory paperwork and  a Limited Edition Beretta America’s Defender Patch. Ships  complete in the original Beretta hard side case and serialized cardboard outer box  along with  one 15 round factory magazine, the owners manual, and factory paperwork.
