EARLY PRODUCTION ROHRBAUGH R9, FACTORY NEW CONDITION,  6+1 round, 9mm Stainless semi-automatic pistol. The Rohrbaugh R9 is a semi-automatic pistol that was produced by Rohrbaugh Firearms of Long Island, New York from 2003 to 2014.  It was chambered in 9mm, and was designed to be the ultimate premium lightweight, and compact self-defense weapon. Many Collectors and shooting enthusiasts consider the R9 to be one of the highest quality production pistols ever made. Rohrbaugh pistols were precision CNC machined from solid billets of stainless steel for the slide, barrel and smaller internal parts. Frames are from 7075-T651 aircraft aluminum billets. The R9 also features a hand fitted  spurless hammer, G-10 grips, Wolff springs  and a heel-release magazine catch.  The R9 uses a locked-breech design and employs an all-metal magazine, which has a removable base plate. The sights consist of a ramped front sight and square notch rear, milled as part of the slide.  The R9 slide has seven diagonal grasping grooves at its rear and has a large external extractor and a large ejection port opening.  Now more than 10 years out of production, the R9 is highly sought after by collectors and these pistols still have a very dedicated following. They are getting more scarce with each passing year- especially those in unfired condition. This particular gun is in the highest possible condition and has not been fired or even handled since it left the factory.  It comes from our Owner’s personal collection and it is absolutely  pristine. It bears the low three-digit serial number of R806, indicating a late 2002  FIRST YEAR production.
