1998 S&W MODEL 66-5 .357 COMBAT MAGNUM, Pre-Lock, 6-shot .357 Magnum revolver with a 2.5″ barrel, 100% NEW & UNFIRED In The Box. Smith & Wesson introduced the Model 66 in 1970 and it was built on the same “K” Frame as the popular Model 19. The primary difference between the Model 66 and the Model 19 is that the Model 66 was built on a stainless steel frame instead of carbon steel. The Model 66 was chambered for .357 Magnum and .38 S&W Special +P calibers, and featured an adjustable rear sight, round butt, and a 6-shot fluted cylinder. This particular example is in the highest possible condition, and comes new and unfired in the original serialized factory box. It has a serrated front sight, with a red ramp insert and an adjustable S&W Micrometer white-outline rear sight. In addition to the original factory rubber finger-groove grips, this beauty also comes wearing a gorgeous set of classic S&W walnut service stocks with S&W medallions. These too are absolutely immaculate. This firearm also features a case-hardened steel semi-target hammer and a case-hardened steel smooth target trigger. This beautiful “Old School” powerhouse is the absolute definition of an Investment Grade gun, and ships 100% complete in the original serialized S&W factory blue hard case and includes the manual and all other factory paperwork.
