1983 Smith & Wesson Model 60 “No Dash” Chief’s Special, 5-shot, .38 Special revolver with a gorgeous original stainless steel finish. The S&W Model 60 was the first regular production all-stainless steel revolver ever made. It has always been one of the most popular of all the Smith & Wesson classic revolvers. There was actually a six month waiting list to even get one when they were first introduced! Prized for being ultralight and easy to conceal, before the addition of that ugly lock on later models. This gun was purchased by the original owner and then kept for decades. It appears to have been barely fired given the lack of wear. The original S&W “banana” grips are quite a premium and look outstanding. The Model 60 was first introduced in 1965 and is still one of the most popular self defense firearms ever produced. It is becoming very difficult to find these “pre-lock” models in high condition. This gun would be a great addition to any S&W collection or would serve well as an every-day carry. Ships complete in original serialized factory box and includes manual and paperwork.  Please see photos for item condition and complete details and do not hesitate to contact us directly with any questions at [email protected].
