1972 Smith & Wesson Model 28-2, .357 Magnum revolver with a 6″ barrel and a flawless original factory blued finish. This is the iconic “Highway Patrolman” model, manufactured in 1978 and looking as if it has never been out of the box. Featuring the desirable pinned barrel and recessed cylinders, this is one of the most popular of all of the S&W classics. The finish on this firearm is in extraordinary condition, rating at 99%+ Collector’s Grade. This gun has not been fired since the factory test fire over 40 years ago! The cylinder has been turned, but obviously very carefully as there is just the ghost of a turn line visible and absolutely zero evidence of handling. The factory target stocks on this gun are pristine and beautifully matched. Of course the lockup and timing on this revolver is perfectly dialed in. It is definitely getting more and more difficult to find these guns, especially in new & unfired condition. If you have ever wanted to add a near perfect example of the famous Highway Patrolman to your collection-this is your gun! Ships complete in the original serialized factory box and includes factory manual and paperwork.
