1977 COLT DETECTIVE SPECIAL 6-shot, .32 Colt revolver with a 2″ barrel and a flawless original factory blued finish.  In 1927, Colt decided to offer its popular Police Positive Special with a 2″ barrel.  In a stroke of pure genius- Colt decided that this new version should be named the Colt Detective Special. For the next 50 years, the Colt Detective Special was the preferred revolver for Police Detectives, Undercover Officers, and off duty Policemen throughout the US. The Detective Special was so popular because it was an easily concealable handgun that was powerful and held six rounds. It was also prized for its accuracy and high standards of fit and finish, especially when compared to other revolvers of its category. Many consider the Detective Special to be the finest “snubby” revolver produced. This example was manufactured in 1977 and is in the rare .32 Colt caliber. This revolver is in the highest possible condition, literally vauly stored since production. There are no flaws, handling marks or detractions of any kind. Review the high-definition photos for your self- this is what an absolute mint condition  “Collector’s Grade” firearm looks like!  There is the slightest of turn lines present and the finish on this firearm is deep and inky blue. The original factory walnut service  stocks are just gorgeous, with sharp checkering throughout.  Although once widely available and even plentiful, those days are long gone.  Today, it has become next to impossible to find a early 1970s .32 caliber Detective Special in high condition- and truly remarkable to discover one that is unfired, in it’s serialized original box that still has all of the original factory paperwork.  This beautiful Collector’s piece ships 100% complete as shown in the photographs.
